SPORTS MASSAGE THERAPY helps alleviate the stress & tension that builds up in the body’s soft tissues during physical activity. When minor injuries & lesions occur to the muscles due to overexertion, massage can break them down quickly & effectively. Sports massage helps prepare the athlete for peak performance, drain away fatigue, relieve swelling, reduce muscle tension, promote flexibility & prevent injuries. Sports massage will also help prevent those “niggling” injuries that get in the way of performance & achievement whether you are a seriouis athlete or a weekend warrior.

Sports Massage Therapy: 1/2 hour mini session up to 1 hour

All massages are performed with the client covered by a sheet, a technique called “draping” where one part of the body is uncovered, massaged & then covered up before moving on to another part of the body. Draping ensures the client’s privacy, as well as keeps them warm & comfortable. Sports therapy can be performed clothed.
